3rd stop: Hydrothermal Basin

The final Yellowstone In A Day tour stop will be one of two hydrothermal basins: Norris Geyser Basin or Mammoth Hot Springs. Norris is the park’s hottest, most acidic, and most dynamic geyser basin.

Mammoth is home to beautiful terraced formations of travertines as well as the historic Fort Yellowstone.

As you explore this geothermal wonderland, you’ll witness the explosive power of Yellowstone’s supervolcano and learn about the science behind the park’s famous geothermal features, which number over 10,000. With your guide’s expertise, you’ll come away with a newfound understanding of Yellowstone’s volcanic past.

This was our first time in Yellowstone and we had an awesome experience. We attempted to find a lot of wildlife on our own before this trip but doing this tour provided a lot more information about the park and the wildlife as well as finding all of the local hotspots to spot animals. Would definitely do it again!
